I noticed these companies fall into a few distinct buckets: B2B service providers who sell to other businesses (lead generation agencies, marketing firms, IT consultancies), software companies building niche tools (EHR documentation, procurement platforms, AI agents), and a surprising number of physical service businesses (cleaning franchises, vending machines, promotional products). What unites them is that they're selling complex offerings that require education and relationship building, not impulse purchases.

These are predominantly small to mid-sized companies. Most have between 2 and 50 employees, with a handful reaching to 200. Very few show venture funding, and when they do, it's typically seed or Series A. Many appear to be bootstrapped or quietly profitable. They're past the earliest startup phase but haven't scaled to enterprise size. They're in that critical growth stage where they need predictable pipeline but can't afford massive sales teams.
