I noticed these companies are overwhelmingly agencies and service providers, not direct-to-consumer brands. They're building and managing ecommerce stores for other businesses. The typical Gorgias Partners user is a digital agency specializing in Shopify development, email marketing (especially Klaviyo), customer experience operations, or full-service ecommerce growth. Many explicitly identify as "Shopify Plus Partners" or "Shopify Platinum Agencies." There's also a significant subset of BPO providers offering outsourced customer service specifically for ecommerce brands.

Most of these companies are small to mid-sized operations. The majority have between 2-50 employees, with sweet spots around 10-20 people. They're past the solo founder stage but not yet large enterprises. A few outliers exist (the BPO companies with thousands of employees, or Verndale with 200-500), but the typical profile is a boutique agency that's established enough to have partnerships with platforms like Shopify, Klaviyo, and BigCommerce, yet still small enough to offer personalized service. Many mention being founded within the last 5-15 years.
