I analyzed these companies and found that Google Adwords customers span virtually every sector of the economy, but they share a common thread: they're consumer-facing organizations that need to reach massive audiences at scale. These aren't niche B2B software companies. They're global banks like BNP Paribas and Goldman Sachs, hospitality giants like Marriott and Hilton, retailers like Walmart and Zara, automotive manufacturers like Ford and GM, telecoms like Verizon and AT&T, and professional services firms like Deloitte and Accenture. They sell physical products, financial services, travel experiences, food, insurance, and technology to millions or billions of end customers.

These are overwhelmingly mature, established enterprises. The signals are unmistakable: most have 40,000+ employees, many over ,000. They operate in dozens or hundreds of countries. They've been in business for decades, often over a century. When funding information appears, it's typically post-IPO debt financing in the billions. These aren't startups experimenting with paid search. They're Fortune 500 companies with massive marketing budgets.
