They're not building software or manufacturing widgets at scale. They're delivering hands-on services that require teams of frontline workers interacting with customers face-to-face every single day.

The majority of these companies are in growth mode, specifically franchise expansion or multi-location scaling. I see employee counts that don't match their claimed size, suggesting franchisee structures where each location hires independently. Many explicitly mention their franchise networks: "over 50 units nationwide," "200+ franchise locations," "expanding network." Even non-franchises show signs of controlled growth with multiple locations across cities or states. These aren't scrappy startups or Fortune 500s. They're businesses that have proven their model and are actively replicating it.
